Spring cleanup - April 8, 2006

Trash stopped behind a tree washed into Accotink creek, just downstream of the Ravensworth Shopping Center storm drain ditch entering the Accotink Creek. Notice the base of the tree downstream with white pipe across roots. It's a USGS data collection station probe on a tree about to be washed out of the bank.

The rest of the above Tree that is stopping trash from flowing freely down the Creek and into Lake Accotink.

The amount of water flowing down Accotink Creek is clearly seen at Lake Accotink dam where the warm water is foaming.
